I live with a tortoiseshell cat named Lucy. I am 87 years old and we have been together for over ten years. Lucy is 16 so that we are both old fogeys, and it is anybody's guess which of us will go first, but I do my best to ensure that she will be taken care of after I am gone.
I was a Christian in my younger days but have come to realise that the biblical stories of creation etc., are just so much nonsense. I cannot believe in atheism either because there is no proof either for or against god. A cat religion, however, makes a lot of sense. Cats are here and are excellent companions. Unlike dogs cats do not need to be bathed or taken out for walks. The only upkeep that they require is food, water and a clean litter box. I can easily believe in Bast or Puss as we call her today. I love Lucy.

I am thanking you for having this site i adore cats - they are loyal, ethereal, Beautiful and always come up to me and fur me:) mesmerising and spiritual and look at me enchanted. I am a surrealist artist and model sometimes, and draw cats see my website. I would say that they are truly to be worshipped as the gods they are
